Former O'Reilly exec joins Convoy of Hope

Springfield-based relief organization Convoy of Hope has hired a new executive vice president.

Jim Batten joined the staff April 1. He works closely with President Hal Donaldson to provide management and leadership to achieve the organization's annual goals, according to a news release.

Batten previously was chief operations officer for AG Financial Solutions. AG Financial is part of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, and Convoy of Hope is the official disaster response arm of AG, according to Convoy of Hope Public Relations Director Kristin Kubitschek.

Batten also spent 14 years as chief financial officer for O'Reilly Auto Parts. During that time, O'Reilly's annual revenue grew to $2.3 billion from $110 million.
