Former Olympic sprinter sentenced to 6 years for murder of girlfriend

Former Olympic sprinter Oscar Pistorius was sentenced to six years in prison for the 2013 murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp.

Pistorius has claimed he thought he was shooting an intruder when he killed his girlfriend at his home in Pretoria, South Africa, on Valentine's Day in 2013.

His lawyers also argued he struggles with depression and post-traumatic stress disorder.
