Former Nintendo president dies

Hiroshi Yamauchi, the Japanese businessman credited with transforming Nintendo into a world-leading video games company, died Sept. 19. He was 85.

Yamauchi ran the company 1949-2002, according to the BBC.

During that time, Nintendo was transformed from a small collectable trading card company into a brand well-known for its video game products.
