Former Detroit Lions wide receiver Charles Rogers died Monday. He was 38.
Media reports indicate Rogers died of liver failure and had been diagnosed with cancer.
A former Michigan State University football All-American, Rogers was drafted by the Lions as the No. 2 overall pick of the 2003 NFL draft. His career never took off as he struggled with drug issues and injuries.
