Former New Orleans mayor sentenced to 10 years in prison

C. Ray Nagin, the former New Orleans mayor, was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison on corruption charges, a remarkable fall from grace for a man who came to office pledging to root out cronyism, according to the New York Times.

Mayor 2002-2010, Nagin was indicted in January 2013, nearly three years after he left office.
