Former MU employee must pay $65K in restitution to enter plea deal

A former University of Missouri employee who is facing theft charges must come up with $65,000 in restitution in order to enter a plea deal, according to a report by the Columbia Daily Tribune.

Brandon Guffey, former financial services director in the MU College of Engineering, must pay the restitution by his next court date on April 8 as a precondition of a plea agreement.

Guffey is charged with allegedly stealing horse-riding lessons, televisions and leather chairs from the school, along with other items.
