The former president and CEO of Metropolitan National Bank has been hired by Ozarks Technical Community College.
Sterling Huff, who exited his position with Metropolitan in late 2011, started Jan. 7 as a business manager at OTC's Center for Workforce Development, according to college spokesman Joel Doepker.
As a business manager, Huff is tasked with selling consultation services and training to individuals, businesses and organizations within OTC's 12-county service region.
Huff had served as president and CEO of Metropolitan for about a year and a half before a sudden exit in November 2011.
At the time, bank holding company President and CEO John Paul VanDiggelen declined to disclose whether Huff's employment was terminated or if he resigned. Huff did not return a call for comment for this article.
Huff's post was
filled in May by Mark McFatridge, who had served in the interim for about three months after leaving his position at Guaranty Bank as executive vice president and chief operating officer.
In the same month Huff left the bank, Janet Weber, Metropolitan's former vice president of private banking and marketing, also ceased employment at the bank. Bank officials at the time declined to say whether the executives' exits were connected, and neither executive returned calls for comment.
In April, Weber joined Hospice Compassus as regional sales director, responsible for managing the organization's southern Missouri presence and 13 health care consultants charged with providing information on end-of-life health care to hospitals, clinics and nursing homes. Weber declined to comment this morning on her resignation from Metropolitan.
