Former Maersk CEO to become Shell president

Royal Dutch Shell plans to name Maersk Oil's former CEO as its new president.

Gretchen Watkins would replace Bruce Culpepper, who is exiting the company this year after working at Shell for more than 37 years.

Watkins is expected to join Shell on May 1, first as executive vice president of unconventionals. She'll retain that role when she becomes president and U.S. country chair after Culpepper steps down.
