A former journalism professor filed suit against her former employer, the University of Missouri.
Debra Mason alleges School of Journalism Dean David Kurpius laid her off in favor of a younger, male faculty member. Mason was 60 years old at the time.
The lawsuit also alleges Kurpius had a history of favoring males.
