Former Indianapolis mayor joins new consulting practice at BKD

BKD LLP hired former Indianapolis Mayor Steve Goldsmith to lead its new public sector consulting practice.

The practice is designed to help public entities reduce service costs, improve service quality and utilize big data solutions to impement cost-saving measures, according to the Indianapolis Business Journal.

The 63-year-old former mayor would provide overall project guidance for the practice. BKD did not indicate when Goldsmith would start or where he would be based.
