Former Great Southern managers take Arvest jobs

Posted online
Two former Great Southern Bank managers are heading up Arvest Bank’s Gretna Road branch that opened Jan. 3.

Cynthia M. Cole is branch manager at 5601 Gretna Road in Branson, and Shirley L. Powell is assistant manager.

Cole, who previously served as Great Southern banking center manager and loan officer for three years, is responsible for sales management, customer relations, customer development, customer service and administration functions.

“Arvest is a very strong company with more than 200 branches,” Cole said of her new employer. “It’s growing and spreading.”

The Gretna branch, which employs 11, is Arvest’s second location to open in Branson within a year. The first branch opened May 26 at Branson Landing.

Cole, who has six years of banking experience, holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and has a Missouri state life insurance license.

Powell, who worked as a teller, personal banker and assistant manager for five years at Great Southern, has been with Arvest for two months. [[In-content Ad]]
