Former General Electric Co. Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt joined a venture capital firm.
Immelt signed on to become a venture partner at New Enterprise Associates, the Boston Business Journal reports.
"Jeff is deeply knowledgeable about the complex global innovation landscape we're operating in today and he understands how businesses must evolve to compete and win in that environment, particularly across industrial and medical technologies," said Scott Sandell, NEA's managing general partner, in a statement.
