Former Fox News exec officially joins White House

It’s official. Bill Shine, a former Fox News co-president, is now a White House staffer.

The White House on Thursday confirmed Shine will serve as deputy chief of staff for communications.

The former top TV executive "brings over two decades of television programming, communications and management experience to the role," the White House said in a statement.

Shine resigned from Fox last year over his handling of sexual harassment allegations against members of the network.
