Former ESPN president staying on as adviser through year’s end

Former ESPN President George Bodenheimer is staying on through year’s end to help new President Jimmy Pitaro transition into the role.

Bodenheimer became acting chairman in December after former President John Skipper resigned, citing a substance abuse problem.

Bodenheimer worked for 13 years as president, 1998-2011. He served in the position longer than anyone else in company history.
