Multiple agencies accused former Equifax Chief Information Officer Jun Ying of insider trading.
Ying was criminally charged for allegedly selling nearly $1 million worth of shares before Equifax announced its massive data breach. The charges were brought about by the U.S. attorney's office in Atlanta.
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission also claims Ying used confidential information entrusted to him by the company for his own financial benefit.
