The former chief financial officer of a St. Louis County company has been sentenced for a $2.1 million embezzlement scheme.
Richard D. Zellner, 66, of O'Fallon, was sentenced to 41 months in prison and ordered to pay $2.1 million. The company he worked for was not disclosed in a news release from the U.S. attorney's office.
Zellner reportedly paid off personal debts with company funds.
