Former Cards center fielder Jim Edmonds' restaurant closes

Former St. Louis Cardinals center fielder Jim Edmonds and restaurateur Mark Winfield have closed their downtown restaurant, The Precinct.

Previously called 15 Steakhouse, the restaurant closed in August 2014 and reopened two months later as The Precint.

According to the St. Louis Business Journal, Edmonds was sued in April 2014 by Cincinnati restaurateur Jack Ruby over The Precinct’s name. The case is pending.
