The former scouting director of the St. Louis Cardinals was sentenced to 46 months in jail for hacking into the computer system of the Houston Astros.
Chris Correa pleaded guilty in January to five counts of unauthorized access to a protected computer. He admitted to using the accounts of three Astros employees to look at scouting reports, amateur player evaluations, notes on trade discussions and proposed bonuses for draft picks.
The information accessed was given an estimated value of $1.7 million.
