A former Amazon finance manager was charged yesterday with insider trading by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The employee, a senior manager in Amazon’s tax department, allegedly tipped off her husband on “highly confidential” information from early 2016 through mid-2018.
The employee's husband and father made trades to earn the family $1.4 million based off of the information. The husband and father also were charged with violating antifraud laws.
