Former Air China manager charged with smuggling

Prosecutors charged a former Air China Ltd. manager yesterday with smuggling packaged out of the United States to China on behalf of the Chinese military.

Ying Lin, a former Newark Liberty International Airport station manager for Air China, allegedly used her job to smuggle packages for Chinese military officials and other nationals working for China’s United Nations delegation through John F. Kennedy International Airport.

The packages' contents haven't been revealed.
