Ford urges pickup owners to stop driving after new Takata death

Ford Motor Co. is calling on 2,900 pickup truck owners not to drive after a new death was confirmed over a defective airbag inflator of Takata Corp.

Owners of 2006 Ford Rangers are encouraged to get replacement parts before getting back on the road with the vehicle.

At least 21 deaths worldwide have been linked to faulty airbags produced by Takata.
