Ford to invest $1B in AI startup

Ford Motor announced Friday plans to invest $1 billion over the next five years into Argo AI, an artificial intelligence startup formed in December.

The startup is focused on developing autonomous vehicle technology.

Argo AI first will develop its technology exclusively for Ford and then will license it to others.
