Ford announced an $11.4 billion investment plan in the United States.
The company is planning a factory in Tennessee, called Blue Oval City, that would cover a 6-square-mile area. Officials are targeting a 2025 start date on the development of next-generation electric pickup trucks and batteries at the plant.
As part of its plans to create 11,000 jobs, Ford also is building two battery parks in Kentucky.
