Ford to cut 7,000 salaried jobs

Ford announced plans to eliminate some 7,000 salaried jobs.

That represents roughly 10% of the company's global white-collar workforce, according to Bloomberg.

CEO Jim Hackett said the job eliminations would save the company $600 million annually.
