Ford Motor Co. announced plans to build a $3.5 billion plant in Michigan.
The factory near the city of Marshall, around 100 miles west of Detroit, would make electric vehicle batteries.
At least 2,500 people are expected to be hired for the plant that's scheduled to launch in 2026.
