Ford Motor Co. and Domino's Pizza in September plan to launch a self-driving vehicle test. The payload? Pizza.
The service will start testing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Randomly selected customers will receive their pies via autonomous Ford Fusion Hybrids. The cars initially will be piloted by human drivers.
The problem with the technology, according to Reuters, is it won't offer true door-to-door delivery service. The car will stop outside the customer's home.
