Ford Motor Co. issued a recall of roughly 2 million pickup trucks over a seat-belt malfunction that could cause smoke or fire.
The recall affects F-150 vehicles between the model years 2015 through 2018. They were built at plants in Missouri and Michigan.
Ford officials pointed to 23 known reports of smoke or fire caused by devices that automatically tighten passenger seat belts.
