Ford posts 22% sales gain in China in August

Ford and its joint venture partners sold 22 percent more vehicles in China during August than the same month a year earlier.

The increase was led by demand for the Edge SUV, Focus and Escort.

“We continue to build momentum in China on the strength of the most comprehensive and exciting Ford lineup we have ever offered Chinese customers,” said Peter Fleet, Ford Asia Pacific vice president of marketing, sales and service. “Our new product surge continues this month with the launch of the new Kuga SUV with Sync 3.”
