Ford offering buyout packages to 15K employees

Due to slow sales in North America and Asia, Ford is offering buyout packages to 15,000 salaried employees in efforts to save profits.

The company is targeting 10 percent of white-collar workers in the United States and China to trim at least 14,000 employees globally.

Workers who accept the buyout are expected to leave by Sept. 30.
