Ford moves electric-car production to Mexico

Ford plans to build a new electric vehicle in Mexico rather than at its plant in Flat Rock, Michigan.

The company instead announced plans to build a new hybrid-electric autonomous vehicle at the Detroit-area plant.

Ford’s decision to switch the electric car production comes several months after the company agreed to cancel a new factory in Mexico as a concession to President Donald Trump.
