Florida is working to avoid a “catastrophic flood" from a large wastewater pond, Gov. Ron DeSantis said Sunday.
The pond in the Tampa Bay area is at risk of collapse, which would send 340 million gallons into the surrounding area within minutes, officials said.
Authorities ordered the evacuations of 316 homes and closed off portions of a federal highway.
