Financial technology provider Jack Henry & Associates was selected by a Miami bank to help automate its banking systems.

Ocean Bank selected the Monett company to provide its SilverLake System to add an in-house core processing platform and complementary solutions, according to a Jack Henry news release.

Ocean Bank is the largest Florida-based independent commercial bank, with more than $5.8 billion in assets and $5.1 billion in deposits.

Jack Prim, CEO of Jack Henry, says the company’s SilverLake software now supports about 15 percent of domestic banks with assets from $1 billion to $30 billion.

“SilverLake provides robust core functionality that can be highly customized,” Prim said in the release.

Jack Henry has more than 8,700 customers nationwide. The company’s stock (Nasdaq: JKHY) closed yesterday at $17.64, compared to a 52-week range of $16.56 to $23.77.
