The Springfield-Greene County Office of Emergency Management estimates at least $337,139 in damages were caused by the record-setting flood of James River on June 18-19.

As of June 23, the office heard reports of $200,000 in damages to businesses, as well as another $137,139 in economic harm to public facilities, including $75,000 at Rivercut Golf Course, according to a news release.

OEM spokeswoman Erin Hedlun said Carson’s Nurseries reported $125,000 to $150,000 in damages, and Turners Station took $50,000 in damages. CySports Center and 160 Grand Prix also were affected by the 22-foot flooding, according to Springfield Business Journal archives.

According to the office, there were two major damage reports on residences and another two minor damage reports, though the financial impact has not yet been determined as resource management officials complete property assessments.
