Ozark-based HealthcareFirst Inc. was the highest-ranked local company on the 2012 Inc. 5000, which includes four other Springfield-area businesses.

posted online yesterday - ranks the fastest-growing private companies that submitted applications for consideration based on percentage revenue growth between 2008 and 2011.
HealthcareFirst, which provides Web-based software for home health and hospice agencies, ranked No. 1,032 on the annual list. With 2011 revenues of $22.5 million compared to 2008 revenues of $5.5 million, HealthcareFirst registered 307 percent growth. The company also placed 77th in the health industry. In 2011, the company ranked No. 1,425 on the Inc. 5000.
Russell Cellular Inc. came in at No. 1,601 on the list, with 183 percent revenue growth. The Battlefield-based company - a Verizon agent which provides services from 160 locations in 11 states - recorded $73.3 million in 2011 revenues, up from $25.9 million in 2008, according to the list. The company ranked No. 80 in the retail industry and No. 1,634 on the 2011 Inc. list.
Mount Vernon-based Red Monkey Foods, which manufactures spices, rubs, spice grinders and other food products, ranked No. 1,386 on the list, based on revenue growth of 217 percent. It also ranked No. 41 in the food & beverage industry. The company recorded 2011 revenues of $7.8 million and 2008 revenues of $2.5 million. Red Monkey placed No. 465 in 2011.
Of the two Springfield companies on the list, JMark Business Solutions Inc. was the highest ranked, at No. 4,153. The information technology firm reported revenue growth of 31 percent, based on 2011 revenues of $6.4 million and 2008 revenues of $4.8 million. On the 2011 list, JMark ranked No. 1,397.
Springfield-based Marlin Network Inc. ranked 4,338th on the list, with revenue growth of 26 percent based on $9.5 million revenues in 2011 and $7.5 million revenues in 2008. The company, which provides advertising, marketing and branding services, ranked No. 3,420 on the 2011 Inc. 5000. According to
Springfield Business Journal archives, Marlin posted capitalized billings of $65 million in 2011.
