Fisk elected to community college association board

Springfield businessman J. Howard Fisk has been elected to the Missouri Community College Association Board of Directors.

Fisk is slated to serve as the board's trustee department vice chairman during the 2014 session, according to a news release. The MCCA, which counts members Ozarks Technical Community College and Crowder College in southwest Missouri, is a community college advocacy and networking organization serving some 5,700 workers in Missouri, according to a news release.

Fisk, the owner of J. Howard Fisk Limousines, has served on the OTC Board of Trustees since 2008 and was board chairman 2010-11. He was named to the MCCA board during its annual convention held Oct. 30-Nov. 1 in St. Louis.

The members of the MCCA Board of Directors are chosen by the organization's general membership, including representatives from each MCCA department, the release said.
