First Ebola case diagnosed in U.S.

Posted online
Despite precautions, doctors have diagnosed the first confirmed case of Ebola in the U.S.

A patient has been hospitalized in Dallas with the deadly virus.

CNN reports the unidentified person left Liberia on Sept. 19 and arrived in the U.S. on Sept. 20, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC declined to say if the patient was a man or a U.S. citizen, but the city of Dallas issued a news release saying: "He moved to Dallas from Liberia a week ago."

A CDC response team was enroute to the city. The patient remains in ICU.
