The land – 1.7 acres between the Springfield Exposition Center and the Jordan Valley Car Park – was slated to be used for an arena, but financier John Q. Hammons withdrew from the project to back construction of the JQH Arena at Missouri State University. This is the second round of proposals to be submitted for the land.
Each presentation is expected to take about 20 minutes, followed by questions and answers. The order of presenters will be John Q. Hammons, HCW Evergreen LLC, BC Development and Opus Northwest LLC.
The firms have proposed various combinations of office space, condominiums, hotel rooms and parking options. SBJ’s cover story today takes an in-depth look at each proposal.
The meeting will be held at the Busch Municipal Building, 840 Boonville Ave.
