Fired Wells Fargo workers file suit

Six former Wells Fargo employees yesterday filed a class-action lawsuit in federal court against the company.

The suit seeks at least $7.2 billion for workers across the country who were fired or demoted after refused to open fake accounts.

According to the suit, Wells Fargo allegedly forced employees to "choose between keeping their jobs and opening unauthorized accounts." The suit builds on another filed last week by two former employees in California.

Earlier this month, Wells Fargo was fined $185 million for inflating sales metrics by creating around two million fake bankd and credit card accounts.
