Fired Hillcrest High School track and football coach Mikael Cooper-Falls is facing 10 felony counts.
Cooper-Falls, 29, was charged yesterday with felonies that include second-degree statutory rape and child molestation.
Cooper-Falls allegedly engaged in sexual acts with a 16-year-old student.
Springfield Public Schools spokesman Stephen Hall told the Springfield News-Leader Cooper-Falls initially was placed on paid administrative leave. He was fired after he was arrested on Monday.
