The District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals has reinstated fired Democratic U.S. Federal Trade Commissioner Rebecca Slaughter.
The court ruled that FTC commissioners cannot be removed without cause.
Slaughter told CNBC that she's ready to immediately return "to the work I was entrusted to do on behalf of the American people."
