Andrew McCabe yesterday launched an online fundraiser in the wake of his firing as FBI deputy director to help cover expected legal costs. He is under investigations and congressional inquiries and may sue over his abrupt ouster from the bureau.
McCabe’s GoFundMe page launched at 2 p.m. March 29 and within eight hours had raised $345,000 from 8,170 people.
McCabe was fired by Attorney General Jeff Sessions about two weeks ago and just 26 hours before McCabe could retire and begin collecting his full retirement benefits, the Washington Post reports.
