Fire extinguishers donated by SFD may be recalled

The Springfield Fire Department is warning residents who received a free fire extinguisher in the past year it may be recalled.

Kidde is recalling 37.8 million fire extinguishers from 1973-2017.

According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, the extinguishers may not work properly in an emergency.
