'Finding Dory' reels in biggest animated opening ever

"Finding Dory" opened to $136.2 million at the North American box office this weekend.

The tale about the forgetful fish voiced by Ellen DeGeneres now holds the largest opening for an animated film in box office history.

The previous record was held by "Shrek the Third," which opened to $121.6 million in 2007.

"Dory" also nearly doubled the opening weekend of its predecessor, 2003's "Finding Nemo."
