Guaranty Bank announced two staff promotions and a new employee. Debbie Beasley was promoted to manager of Guaranty Bank’s branch at 4343 S. National. Beasley, who has more than 23 years of banking experience, is working to increase the bank’s core deposit base and loans, and to build customer relationships.
Summer Wheat was promoted to manager of Guaranty Bank’s branch at 1905 W. Kearney. She has more than three years of banking experience.
Carol Sparlin joined Guaranty Bank and will serve as the manager of the new facility under construction at Republic Road and Cox Road. The target opening date for that location is February. Sparlin has 19 years of banking experience as a branch manager.
Mike Bennitt, president of Great Southern Financial Services, was named to the 2006 Executive Council of Raymond James Financial Services. Being selected for the council is recognition of outstanding client service and exemplary professional growth. Bennitt has more than 18 years of experience in financial services.
Lois J. Weston and Tammy J. Weston-Seibel of Tax and Financial Services recently joined hundreds of accounting and tax professionals at the National Accounting and Tax Symposium Nov. 14–15 in Las Vegas. The two-day event, presented by the National Society of Accountants, addressed retirement plans, tax updates, planning strategies and ethics within the tax and accounting profession.
Roberta Broeker was named the chief financial and administrative officer of the Missouri Department of Transportation, becoming the highest-ranking female in MoDOT’s 84-year history. She previously served as MoDOT’s director of audits and investigations. Broeker, a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University, joined MoDOT in 1998. In her new position, she oversees MoDOT’s $2.2 billion budget.
Vicki Moore was promoted to loan operations officer at Village Bank’s 2920 E. Chestnut Expressway location. Moore has five years of banking experience. In her new position, she assists commercial lending staff and provides customer service and lobby assistance.
For the 13th consecutive year, Edward Jones ranked No. 1 in Registered Representative magazine’s annual survey of the nation’s seven largest financial services firms. The magazine randomly selects brokers nationwide and asks them to rank their firms in different categories. Edward Jones has more than 9,000 offices in the United States, and, through its affiliates, in Canada and the United Kingdom.
