Finalists named for Branson small business, charity awards

Posted online
The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau next week will name its annual Small Business of the Year and Charity of the Year out of 10 finalists.

The nominees for small-business honors are Branson Tourism Center, Compton Ridge Campground, Connell Insurance Inc., Hollywood Studio Store & More and Patient Pal LLC. The charity award nominees are Boys & Girls Club of the Ozarks, Christian Action Ministries, Church Army, The Caring People and Tri-Lakes United Way, according to a news release.

"All the nominated businesses and charities have made important impacts on the area and letting them each shine is the least that we can do to recognize their accomplishments," said Ladona Weathers, director of tourism and membership events for the Branson chamber and CVB, in the release.

Top honors will be announced by the chamber and CVB during a July 24 dinner at Branson's White House Theatre.

In 2011, Skoglund Properties Inc. was named Small Business of the Year, and Faith Community Health Center received Charity of the Year honors.
