Finalists chosen for annual Choice Employers event

The roster of finalists has been selected for Springfield Business Journal’s fifth annual Choice Employers awards.

The awards are presented in four employment categories based on company surveys about employee benefits such as retirement plans, professional development and other workplace perks. Results for the 2010 Choice Employers were verified by Drury University’s Edward Jones Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation.

By category, the finalists, in alphabetical order, are:
• 5 to 24 employees: Dunton & Associates LLC; GeoEngineers Inc.; GHN Architects/Engineers; Pension Consultants Inc.; and Sapp Design Associates Architects PC.
• 25 to 100 employees: Amberg Entertainment; Kirkpatrick, Phillips & Miller, CPAs PC; Reliable Imports & RV; Rick’s Automotive; and UMB Bank.
• 101 to 300 employees: BKD LLP; Commerce Bank; The Track; Turblex Inc., a Siemens Co.; and UnitedHealthcare.
• 301+ employees: American National Property & Casualty Co.; Drury University; St. John’s Health System; Silver Dollar City; and T-Mobile.

Rankings for each category will be announced during a Nov. 11 event that starts at 5:30 p.m. at 425 Downtown at 425 W. Walnut St. Tickets are $25 apiece and are available at sbj.net.com/choice.[[In-content Ad]]
