Feds to cancel debt for students from Corinthian Colleges

The Biden administration is moving to cancel all outstanding student loans for those who attended schools operated by Corinthian Colleges.

Corinthian Colleges, which formerly was one of the largest for-profit education companies, filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2015.

Roughly 560,000 borrowers with a combined debt load of $5.8 billion are slated to be impacted by the federal decision. It marks the single largest debt forgiveness action taken by the government to date.
