The Federal Trade Commission set up a $586 million fund for customers who paid scammers through Western Union between 2004 and January 2017.
Western Union in January agreed to the $586 million settlement over claims it looked the other way despite thousands of complaints over criminals convincing people to wire money for promised prizes.
Those affected can file for refunds online at FTC.gov/wu.
