Feds find way to unlock iPhone without Apple's help

The Justice Department says it's found a way to unlock an iPhone without help from Apple.

The agency now is dropping its case against Apple. The company has been fighting a recent battle against the feds, who wanted help unlocking an iPhone used by Syed Rizwan Farook, a gunman in the December shooting in San Bernardino, Calif.

Lawyers for Apple have previously said the company would want to know the procedure used to crack open the smartphone, yet the government might classify the method.
