Feds: 'Dumb and Dumber To' made with stolen cash

The U.S. government is claiming films "Dumb and Dumber To" and "Daddy's Home" were made with stolen cash.

The Justice Department yesterday filed a claim that tens of millions of dollars were diverted from a Malaysian government investment fund for the production of the two movies.

Prosecutors filed to recover $1.7 billion as part of a larger scheme that alleges financiers stole $4.5 billion from 1Malaysia Development Berhad between 2009 and 2015. They then allegedly laundered the money through shell companies with bank accounts in the United States and abroad.
